Our beautifully designed QR code pet tag links seamlessly to a smartphone app, offering quick and convenient access to your pet’s information in critical moments. Notably, Tailr's tag features a lost & found function and document hub, as well as five customizable categories, covering everything from medical records to grooming preferences.

Tailr tags utilize unique QR codes specially linked to individual pets. When a tag is activated, it allows pet owners to create detailed profiles for their pets within the Tailr app.

The app serves as a centralized hub for pet management, enabling the input and updating of key information such as the pet's name, breed, health records, vaccination history, and special care instructions. This ensures that you can provide vital information to caregivers or veterinary professionals promptly.

If someone encounters a pet with a Tailr tag, they can scan the QR code using any smartphone (no app needed) to access the information that the pet owner has chosen to share, such as the pet's name, contact details, medical needs, and emergency contacts.

This feature enhances your pet's safety and facilitates immediate communication if your pet goes missing, combining technology with responsible pet ownership for ultimate peace of mind.

To ensure the best fit, measure your pet’s collar and consider their weight when selecting a tag.

The Tailr Classic Tag is available in two different sizes. This tag does not require a specific collar size and includes two variations of accessory rings to attach to your pet’s collar.

Large:

Pet Size: Best suited for pets weighing 20 lbs. or above. 

Small:

Measurements: 0.75” x 0.83” x 0.12”

The Tailr Slide Tag is available in 3 different sizes to ensure a sleek fit with the correct collar size. Each size requires a specific collar size so be sure to match your existing collar size with the correct sized tag, or upgrade your pet’s collar with an attractive Tailr collar, available in the Tailr shop, for your pet.

In the event that your pet loses their Tailr tag, there is no need to worry about losing access to their important information. We have established a streamlined process to ensure that your pet's details remain secure.

To initiate the replacement of the lost tag, simply fill out the tag replacement form provided in the app or click here . After submission, a new tag will be linked to your pet’s profile and shipped directly to you.

The new tag will arrive assigned to your pet’s profile, and ready for use. Meaning all their important information, including medical history, emergency contacts, and any special instructions, documented in the app will be readily available and linked to the new tag.

This process ensures you can easily retrieve your pet's data and maintain uninterrupted access to the Tailr service, prioritizing your pet's safety and well-being.

Your privacy is a top priority at Tailr. Your data is stored securely, and access to personal information is protected, ensuring that only those you authorize can view your pet's details.

Sharing your pet's information is simple and convenient with two options:

1. QR Code: Scan the QR code on your pet’s tag. You can control which information is shared publicly through the app. For instance, toggle the “Document Hub” visibility on before your vet visit, allowing them access to all relevant past records.
2. Email or Messaging: Within the app, you can tap “Share Pet’s Documents” and enter the recipient's email or phone number to share pet information directly.

The Tailr app offers a streamlined way to manage pet profiles, ensuring that each tag and its corresponding QR code is specifically designated for an individual pet. This unique assignment means that no single tag can be linked to more than one pet, significantly reducing confusion and enhancing accountability.

While you cannot link one tag to multiple pets, you can manage multiple pets under a single Tailr account by acquiring unique tags for each pet. This approach keeps all records organized and easily accessible, resulting in a more simplified pet ownership experience.

By utilizing the Tailr app, pet owners can enjoy peace of mind knowing that they have organized, accessible, and detailed records for all their furry companions in one place.

Yes! Tailr was created with accessibility in mind. The app is designed with a clean and intuitive layout, making it easy for pet owners to navigate through various features without feeling overwhelmed. Icons and buttons are clearly labeled, and functions are logically organized. Ensuring that all pet owners can manage their pet's information with ease.

The Tailr lost and found function makes the recovery process of your pet as easy as possible. Anyone can scan your pet's tag with their phone camera. When they do, they’ll be able to view your contact info, while you'll also receive a notification with the google location of where your pet is, so you can be reunited.

To mark your pet as missing:

1. Go to the "My Pets" list by tapping the "Paw" icon.
2. Select the correct pet profile.
3. Scroll down to the “ “My Pet Is Missing” tab.
4. Follow the prompts to enter your pet's last known location and the time and date they went missing.
5. Confirm by tapping “OK.”

This action will send out a missing pet notification to nearby Tailr App users and mark your pet's profile as missing, enhancing the chances of a quick reunion.

Scanning History

The Scanning History feature in the Tailr app allows pet parents to easily view the scan history of their pet's tags. You can access detailed information about each scan, including the date, time, and location on a map, helping you keep track of interactions with those who have scanned your pet's tag.

 If you are having difficulty scanning the QR code on the pet ID tag, try these helpful tips:

1. Ensure camera access is enabled for the Tailr app in your phone settings.
2. Place the tag on a flat surface in good lighting, with the QR code facing upward.
3. Hold the phone approximately 8-10 inches above the ID tag to allow the camera to focus, gradually moving the device closer to the QR code until the scan is successful.
4. It may be necessary to repeat this process several times to ensure the camera focuses properly on the code.
5. Once the scan is successful you will be directed to the next step of registering a pet.

Alternatively a tag can be registered by entering the tag ID number, enter the number located below the QR code on the tag itself, including letters and dashes.

Your personal profile pertains to your information as the account owner. This is not the same as your pet profiles. To edit Name, Phone #, Email Address, Street Address, or Password, follow the steps below. (Any changes made will reflect owner info for “All” pets in the account.)

1. Open the app and tap the "3-bar menu" icon at the bottom right.
2. Tap "My Profile" at the top of the screen.
3. Select the information you wish to edit.  (Name, Phone #, Email, etc.).
4. Enter the updated details and tap save.

Note: Changes will reflect to owner info for all pets linked to your account.

Customize your pet's bio with the following categories: Health, Document Hub, Behavior, Grooming, Pedigree, Food, and Play. Find all active pet profiles on the homepage. To edit a pet's bio, follow these steps:

1. Open the Tailr app.
2. Tap the "Paw" icon at the bottom left for the homepage (My Pets).
3. Select your pet's profile by tapping their profile image.
4. Choose the category you want to edit below the pet description.

Document Hub

This is your storage for important documents (e.g., Vet Health Reports, Vaccinations).

Uploading Documents:

Option 1:

1. Tap a subcategory. 
2. Tap the “+” icon and fill out optional fields.
3. Tap “+ Add Files,” select or take a photo, then tap “Save.” 

Option 2:

1. Use your pet's personal email (found at the bottom of Document Hub) to recieve documents. 
2. Manage your inbox by tapping on “Inbox.” 
3. Select files, tap “Add to,” choose a subcategory, fill optional fields, and tap “Save.”

Health

Track your pet's health in three subcategories: Medical Conditions, Allergies, and Medications.

1. Choose the information to update.
2. Select relevant details and tap “Save.”

Behavior

Document your pet’s personality and commands/tricks.

Personality:

1. Select “Personality.”
2. Choose a subcategory (Temperament, Traits, etc.), 
3. tap the “3 Dot” icon, and fill custom details if necessary. Tap the “Back Arrow” to save.

Commands & Tricks:

1. Select “Commands & Tricks.”
2. Tap “+ Add Command” or “+ Add Trick,” fill in the fields, and tap “Add” to save.

Grooming

Manage grooming details and styles:

1. Follow app prompts to document grooming style and select options for Sensitive Areas, Triggers, etc. You can add custom details as needed.
2. Edit grooming images or notes by selecting “Style” or “Experience” and using the “3 Dot” icon for updates.

All of your active pet profiles can be found on the homepage of the app. Pet details that can be edited here are Type, Pet Breed, Age, Gender, Size, Color, Neutered/Spayed, Microchip (can be entered, not edited) Rabies Vaccine, License number, Pet description, Pet photo

1. Open the Tailr app and tap the "Paw" icon at the bottom left to access your homepage (My Pets). 
2. Select the pet profile you want to edit by tapping on the profile image.
3. After choosing the profile, tap the "edit/pencil" icon at the top right of the screen.
4. Select the information you wish to update.
5. Enter the new details as needed.
6. Tap "Save" at the bottom of the screen to apply your changes.
